My name is James, and I am an Osteopath who enjoys to provide people with a customized treatment plan.
I understand that each individual is different, and therefore a cookie-cutter approach is not going to be able to help everyone.
To ensure that I am able to tailor a treatment plan for you, I continue to complete additional qualifications, so as to provide you with more than one treatment approach.
I am able to offer both a direct and indirect treatment approach, as a result of my experience and qualifications which are listed below:
I am very passionate about taking a very client-centred approach to treatment.
This means that you can expect to be involved in your diagnosis, the techniques used as well as the exercises recommended. This is done, to ensure that you leave each treatment feeling educated and empowered on your present condition, while having the confidence of being in control of your outcomes.
Having already spent time working as an Osteopath in Canada, I am very excited to travel every inch of Australia, and bring Osteopathy to those who need it!
Hi! My name is Britt and I am the other osteopath of Nomadic Osteos.
I have always had a keen interest in human anatomy and biology, which is what first drew me to Osteopathy. Since then, my fascination with the human body has grown due to its innate ability to heal. As an osteopath, I understand the importance of appropriately facilitating this process, which one of the primary goals of every treatment.
I take quite a structural approach to treatment, using movement assessments as a baseline to build on during the appointment. I use mainly direct treatment techniques to work through areas of restriction and pain, with the goal of improving your pain free range of motion. To enhance my ability to do so, I have completed extra education in Advanced Dry Needling, which you can learn more about in our FAQs.
At the end of your appointment, you can expect to feel empowered by a new found understanding of your present condition. You will also be educated on how you can help your body to heal moving forward and of course you can expect to be moving a lot better than when you first walked in the door.
Hi There,
My name is Tinker, and I am the one who is responsible for bringing these 2 Osteopaths to your town.
I was born in 2006 and only have 137,000kms on the clock, so there is a lot of life left in me. This youth, along with being a 79 series, gives me confidence that I’ll be able to get them wherever they want to go; despite their limited 4WD knowledge.
Although I do have my questions about how well Britt and James will handle the Australian landscape, I am pretty excited to be the one who gets to provide them with the opportunity to combine their loves of Osteopathy and Travel!
For those who are wondering how I got my name, let me explain.
My travel companions are Nomadic Osteos.
There were 3 types of Nomads in this world: Pastoral, Hunter Gatherers and Tinker Traders.
One of the things that Tinker Trader Nomads were known for, was repairing the tools that people needed for work. They were the multifaceted mechanics of the Nomad world.
The name Tinker is fitting, as I’m responsible for bringing the Nomadic Osteos to your community so they can help repair your most important tool. Your body!
